Harriet Tubman Summit: A Tribute to General Tubman

One of the Harriet Tubman Summit’s signature events will bring 250 women veterans together at the Dorchester County Courthouse to honor Harriet Tubman’s extraordinary military legacy and her posthumous promotion to brigadier general. (If you're a veteran and interesting in taking part, see the online registration form.) The ceremony begins at 11am. 

In the evening, there will be a Beacon of Hope Veterans Gala at 447 Venue on Race Street, Cambridge, Maryland – just a few blocks from the tribute ceremony.

This event is part of the inaugural Harriet Tubman Summit, bringing a month of tribute and celebration to Cambridge and Dorchester County, where Harriet Tubman was born and where her remarkable story began. See the full Summit schedule and other events.
