Located southeast of Cambridge on the Nanticoke River, Vienna was first explored by Captain John Smith in 1608 and is one of the oldest colonial settlements in the state.
This small community is home to a 1768 Customs House, the Vienna Heritage Museum and a waterfront park among many historic properties. Follow a self-guided tour through this historic waterfront town located on the Nanticoke River; pick up a walking tour brochure at the Dorchester Visitor Center.
“A historic cross roads village dating from early colonial times, the town has managed to preserve much of its charm and quiet lifestyle for over three centuries…”
