The Richardson Maritime Museum offers a unique waterfront campus in Cambridge, Maryland — a living celebration of the Chesapeake Bay’s and Dorchester County's rich maritime heritage. The four acres of waterfront property feature two main buildings and a growing outdoor collection of maritime artifacts.
The museum is open Wednesday through Saturday from 10am to 2pm. Or schedule a visit by appointment at 410-221-1871.
Also on the waterfront campus is the Ruark Boatworks, where volunteers and artisans work on boats. Schedule a personal tour at office@richardsonmuseum.org or 410-221-1871.
The museum also offers free “Build a Boat” classes on Wednesdays from 7 to 9pm. No appointment needed. Just show up ready to roll up your sleeves and learn from experienced boatbuilders — beginners welcome!
