The historic Hurlock Train Station has been transformed into the Hurlock History Museum, which had its grand opening on July 4, 2026. For months, a small team of volunteers and members of the Hurlock History Project had been working hard behind the scenes to preserve the community’s incredible stories, memories, and heritage. The museum includes photos and artifacts that share the story of Hurlock. Because of its excellent railroad facilities that carried passengers and products to major destinations, Hurlock became the industrial and commercial hub of the northern part of Dorchester County. It still holds that distinction, which is reflected in the town’s motto,”On track…since 1892.”
