Thunder on the Choptank Powerboat Races

Bring the family for two days of boat racing – the American Power Boat Regatta Association (APBA) Eastern Divisionals – and experience speed on the water on the Choptank River. 

The best viewing area is from the banks of Gerry Boyle Park at Great Marsh in Cambridge, Maryland. Spectators can watch the racing classes, including hydroplanes and jersey speed skiffs, from the bleachers, the park grounds, or from their own boats rafted at Rooster Point. Also on site will be lots of great food and drinks to make it a fun day for the whole family. 

Free admission for watching. $5 per car for parking.

Racing runs about 11am to 5pm both Aug 29 and 30, 2026.

Bleacher seating will be available or bring your own chairs. No coolers allowed.
