Skipjack Nathan Sail

Join the Skipjack Nathan of Dorchester for a sail on the Choptank River. During the two-hour sail, they share stories of skipjacks and maritime heritage and dredge for oysters. Sails are unique depending on wind, weather, captain, and crew. The Nathan sails most Saturdays from May through October. The sails leave from Long Wharf Park in Cambridge, MD. Reserve your spot. 

The skipjack is Maryland's state boat! It's a wooden sailboat designed for oyster harvesting and its legacy dates back to the 1800s.
