Harriet Tubman Summit: Day of Resilience
All are invited to participate in the Day of Resilience commemoration and ribbon cutting of the Harriet Tubman Pavilion at the Harriet’s Take My Hand mural. Wear your comfortable shoes. This event is $1 to attend, with an opportunity to give more in support of the Harriet Tubman Summit and its mission.
Drum Processional and Waterside Libations, which will begin with Nana Malaya Rucker-Oparabea leading a walk at 11am from the Dorchester County Circuit Courthouse at 206 High Street, Cambridge, MD. Continuing down historic High Street to Long Wharf Marina, where ships bearing enslaved persons once docked.Participants are asked to dress in white and meet at the Courthouse, 206 High Street, at 10:45am.
The Harriet Tubman Pavilion ribbon cutting will be held at 1pm at 428-432 Race St., Cambridge, MD. Vendors and food trucks will be at the ribbon cutting. Come and enjoy our local cuisines and great finds with our local vendors.
