Governor Hicks Log Canoe Races

Watch log canoes race on the Choptank River Aug. 15-16 in this regatta hosted by the Cambridge Yacht Club in Cambridge, Maryland. Originally built as workboats, now with unmatched sailing skill, these historic boats carry on one of the Chesapeake Bay’s most unique traditions. Watch as crews balance on springboards and harness the wind in a race that blends history, teamwork, and pure adrenaline.
