GFNY Maryland Cycling Race
Oct 4, 2026
GFNY Maryland is an annual road cycling race held in downtown Cambridge. GFNY describes it as "Maryland's hardest and biggest road race."
GFNY stands for Gran Fondo New York, part of a global endurance sports series where amateur cyclists get to "be a pro for a day" with mass starts, chip timing, and police-moderated roads.
Riders can choose between a medium route (48 miles) and a competitive long route (92 miles, where long-course finishers are eligible for rankings and awards).
The flat, fast course takes cyclists through Dorchester County, passing the Chesapeake Bay coastline, the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge, and the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad National Historical Park.
