FALL FUN IN DORCHESTER COUNTY, MARYLAND
Updated October 24, 2024
Fall is in the air! Below are a few ways to embrace the season in Dorchester County on Maryland’s Eastern Shore with seasonal fun for all ages!
THE GREAT OUTDOORS THIS FALL
Fall is beautiful in the Heart of the Chesapeake. The air is cooler, the evening light lights up the marsh grasses with golden hues, the winds pick up for sailing. It's a great time of year for cycling, birding, fishing, boating, and the last few weeks of paddling before the winter chill sets in. We have free guides for cycling, birding, and paddling in Dorchester County. And you'll find more resources for outdoor adventure here. Plus, local seafood is especially delicious – Chesapeake blue crabs are at their plumpest and sweetest this time of year, and both wild harvested and farmed oysters are available for slurping.
