Shine Your Light Mural Anniversary Event

Celebrate one year since the completion of "Shine Your Light," the Cambridge mural created by Artist Miriam Moran that unites an array of Latin backgrounds and traditions. The day includes: 

• Live Music, Dance & Entertainment: The Salsa Guy performing Bomba y Plana, Tradición Puerto Rican folk dance, Cambridge South Dorchester High School summer band camp, Mz'Vocalz. Plus DJ Naco Marrero. 
• Interactive Fun: Bring the kids for bouncing fun, inflatable games, balloon twisting with Mr. Fox from Panda & Friends entertainment, a special community art activity with We Are Limitless Studios, and more at the kids' activities area.
• Guest Author Spotlight: Meet special guest, Dr. Elizabeth Moran, Art Historian, Author, and Scholar.
• Grand opening of the region’s first Bilingual Little Free Library and the "Beyond the Walls" Student Art Gallery, showcasing the talent of local Latin youth.
• Food provided by food trucks (Mrs. Martin's, Tacos Pupusas Locas, Dominican King Lopez of Empanadas, plus baked goods. 
• Vendors, too! 

Grand opening of the region's first Bilingual Little Free Library will be held on Saturday, September 2 with a youth art activity. Stay tuned for more.
