Superhero 5K

Great Marsh Park Somerset Ave., Cambridge

Come join the local chapter of the American Cancer Society on Saturday, October 2nd for a fun 5k to help battle cancers! This themed run is all about being a SUPER HERO!!! Help the American Cancer Society defend a world with MORE BIRTHDAYS!!!
Come dressed up as your favorite superhero and run or walk the 5k course, starting and finishing at Gerry Boyle Park at Great Marsh. This scenic 5k will give you beautiful water views before returning to the park for all of the other activities they have in store.

Proceeds will benefit the Relay for Life of Dorchester County! RACE STARTS at 9:30am

Hurlock Fall Fest & Train Rides

Hurlock Main St. Hurlock

The day begins with a parade down Main Street at 10am. Ride the fall Festival Express. Train rides cost $8 per person. Roundtrip from Hurlock to Federalsburg and back. Trains depart from Hurlock Train station on Gay Street at 11am, 12:30pm, 2pm, 3:30pm, and 5pm.

Country Jamboree

Vienna Waterfront Park Dedication

Join the Town of Vienna for a dedication of the Waterfront Park in honor of Dr. Russell B Brinsfield for his tireless efforts. Dr. Brinsfield, who died in January 2021, served as Mayor of the Town of Vienna for 22 years from 1997 to 2019. He was inducted into the Maryland Municipal League’s Hall of Fame in 2020. He was also director of the Wye Research and Education Center (WREC) from 1981 until retirement in 2015.
