Riverside is an all-inclusive outdoor resort located on Hoopers Island, where it’s sided by the Honga River and the Chesapeake Bay. The lodge is available year-round with waterfowl hunting, fishing (especially rockfish aka striped bass), crabbing, jet skiing, kayaking, day trips to Smith Island and Solomons Island, relaxation on a white sandy beach, and more. Step back in time away from the hustle and bustle, and enjoy spectacular sunrises and sunsets.
Formerly the Hoopers Island Gun Club, the lodge is open to the public for the first time ever. The 1,000 acres includes marshland, woodland, nine ponds, and miles of waterfront. The Lodge is a licensed Regulated Shooting Area by the State of Maryland which enhances the possibilities of exceptional waterfowl shooting throughout the waterfowl season. Their hunting guides are licensed and collectively have more than 50 years of experience guiding on the Lodge property alone.
The lodge has five double-occupancy bedrooms with private baths. Enjoy a candlelit dinner of authentic Maryland Eastern Shore cuisine in the dining room with murals depicting the waterman’s life.
Riverside Lodge is located in the small fishing community of Hoopersville, 25 miles from Cambridge.
