about us
TEMPORARILY CLOSED BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
Named after local boat builder James B. Richardson, the museum is dedicated to the craftsmen and culture of the traditional Eastern Shore wooden boat building industry. A unique collection of boat models; skipjacks, bugeyes, pungys, log canoes, rams & other merchant vessels used over the years. See the original hand tools used to build the boats that are legends of a past maritime commerce.
Groups are welcome and donations are appreciated.
We are a Chesapeake Bay Gateways Network Site.
