The Dorchester County Tourism Department is accepting proposals from experienced companies for the development of an augmented and/or virtual reality experience along the Harriet Tubman Byway in Dorchester and Caroline counties on Maryland’s Eastern Shore. The bidder will need to suggest the appropriate treatment for the sites including any research or image rights that may be needed to complete the project.
The purpose of the project is to create an interactive experience for the user. Much of the information regarding the byway sites is shared via traditional interpretive displays and audio recordings. By using AR and VR technology, we can provide 2D and 3D experiences, which are different from the other types of interpretation.
Sealed bids must be delivered by 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 19, 2019, to:
501 Court Lane, Room 108
Cambridge, MD 21613
