NOTE: The deadline is Aug. 5, 2022 for both project and professional development grants. IMPORTANT: When you submit your application, you will see a confirmation page on your computer.       • Describe concisely the project/activities/classes the grant would support. On what would the funds be spent, and how does it relate to heritage tourism? If it is for professional development, be sure to include the organization sponsoring the program.

        • FOR PROJECTS: What is the timeline or schedule for the project? Please be as specific as possible using month and year from grant award to completion. FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: When and where will the professional development opportunity take place?
        • Below, please describe any products - tangible and intangible (e.g., research report, interpretive signs, marketing materials, docent training, fundraising or grant writing expertise, etc.) that will result from the project. If this project is an event, please describe the expected target audience, the number of people expected to attend and the potential effect on heritage tourism in the county.

        • Please describe the cash match and in-kind sources and provide documentation on cash match sources below (for grants more than $500 - latest bank or financial statement paired with letter of commitment from the organization's leadership, or other record of proof; for grants under $500 - a letter of commitment from the applicant or the applicant’s organizational leadership for the cash match) See mini-grant guidelines for acceptable documentation.               • I agree to the requirements outlined in the Heart of Chesapeake Country Heritage Area Grant Application Guidelines.

                Important Notes:

                1. Heart of Chesapeake Country Heritage Area and Maryland Heritage Areas Authority must be acknowledged in any materials and in any publicity for a project funded by the HCCHA mini-grant.

                2. If the grant is for professional development, recipients must provide a summary of their experience for the HCCHA monthly newsletter following the date of the event.

                3. Grant recipients will participate in a Grant Recipient Partnership Seminar in Spring 2022.

                4. Grant recipients will prepare a display about their project for the HCCHA awards reception in Fall 2022.

                5. If a mini-grant is approved, the recipient must complete a Final Report providing copies of paid invoices and expenditure receipts by the specified completion deadline.

                6. Project must be complete and Final Report submitted before mini-grant payment will be processed. The mini- grant payment is made as a reimbursement of the mini-grant portion of project expenditures.
