|Be the first to see – and obtain! – the 2019 Heritage Oyster Tin!
As part of the Smithsonian traveling Water Ways exhibit at the Dorchester Center for the Arts, Hoopers Island will debut our 3rd Heritage Tin, a limited edition oyster can collectible. Join Ricky Fitzhugh and Lesley Giles as they unveil ‘Sunrise on Fishing Bay,’ the featured art on 2019 tin celebrating Dorchester County watermen. Rendered in vibrant shades of crimson, salmon and gold, the original art captures the tradition of hand tonging for oysters as the sun rises over Hoopers Island’s iconic lighthouse.
We’ll also serve samples of our new “Mermaid Kiss” oyster now available at Hoopers’ seasonal retail store in Cambridge. Music by Colby Sard.
Visit our Water/Ways page for a full calendar of Water/Ways programming.
