This two-hour guided kayak tour takes place in the heart of the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge Ecosystem. Your local guide will lead and enlighten you as you search for wildlife and birds, all while learning about fascinating topics such as local history and Eastern Shore culture. Participants will be given an introduction to kayaking and a paddling lesson before being launched into the pristine Little Blackwater River. Our kayaks are very stable and easy to paddle, no experience necessary!
This program is being held in conjuction with the Smithsonian Water/Ways exhibit, which will be on display from Oct. 19-Nov. 30 in Cambridge, MD.
