The town of East New Market will be hosting an open house on Saturday, Oct. 5, from 10am to 3pm, to help celebrate Dorchester’s 350th Anniversary. There will be many events going on around town. Friendship Hall, East New Market Fire Hall, Downtown Senior Apartments (a refurbished 1912 historic building), and the state of the art Animal Hospital are just a few of the sites opening their doors to visitors. You can also enjoy a carriage ride or have a picnic lunch in Friendship Park. Meet and chat with retired skipjack captain Mr. Kermit Travers at the Town Hall (10 Academy St, East New Market) and enjoy refreshments along the way. All homes that are participating in this amazing event will be displaying a patriotic flag in the front of their home.
This event will be happening in the downtown district.
