This one-of-a-kind performance with the Front Porch Orchestra combines Tchaikovsky’s iconic music with a comic retelling of ETA Hoffman’s classic Christmas story, “The Nutcracker” from 7 to 10pm on Dec. 20. You’ll hear 17 movements of The Nutcracker Ballet played bar-for-bar on banjo, mandolin, violin, viola, two guitars, bass and percussion. Before each movement, a “Twas the Night Before Christmas” style narrator tells bits of the story laced with campy commentary.
Tickets cost $20 for general admission; $10 for students. Buy tickets.
Doors open at 7pm, show starts at 8! At 447 Race St., Cambridge, MD.
