Watch as triathletes from all over the country challenge themselves with a 70.3-mile race that includes a 1.2-mile swim in the Choptank River followed by 56 miles on the bike through Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and surrounding areas, and a 13.1-mile run.
Watch along the courses or at Gerry Boyle Park at Great Marsh (Somerset Avenue) in Cambridge, where the swim starts and the transitions happen, and the finish line is located. Watch for the Spectator Guide and Athlete Tracker here.
Volunteers are still needed June 11-13, from athlete check-in to aid stations to bike check-in, and more! See the list of volunteer opportunities and sign up here.
A precursor to the 140.6-mile IRONMAN Maryland triathlon, and partaking of much of the same course, this race has been popular among triathletes based in the area for years. Traversing through the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and the historic streets of Cambridge, there is no shortage of sites to see while on course. Combine that with the welcoming community of athletes and locals, and this is a race for everyone.
The 2021 IRONMAN 70.3 Eagleman will offer 100 Age Group qualifying slots and 25 Women for Tri Slots to the 2021 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship in St. George, Utah.
