Watch as triathletes from all over the country challenge themselves on June 12, 2022 with the IRONMAN 70.3 Eagleman triathlon – a 70.3-mile race that includes a 1.2-mile swim in the Choptank River followed by 56 miles on the bike through Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and surrounding areas, and a 13.1-mile run.
Watch along the courses or at Gerry Boyle Park at Great Marsh (Somerset Avenue) in Cambridge, where the swim starts and the transitions happen, and the finish line is located. Follow your favorite triathlete’s progress on the day of the race with the Athlete Tracker. Or view the Spectator Guide.
Volunteers are needed June 10-12, from athlete check-in to aid stations to bike check-in, and more. Sign up to volunteer.
A precursor to the 140.6-mile IRONMAN Maryland triathlon, and partaking of much of the same course, this race has been popular among triathletes for years. Traversing through the Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and the historic streets of Cambridge, there is no shortage of sites to see while on course – plus there’s a welcoming community of athletes and locals. IRONMAN 70.3 Eagleman offers slots to the IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. Find out more and register.
