The Dorchester Center for the Arts features “Black History Past and Now,” an exhibit of quilts created by the Brown Quilters Create and Educate group, a Facebook group for quilters and fiber artists. Their mission is to provide a community for members to participate in swaps and sew-a-longs as well as to offer classes taught by member volunteers. Their motto, “each one teach one” has created a fun and exciting fellowship. The exhibit runs Feb. 4-26.
All are welcome to the free Second Saturday Artists’ Reception on Feb. 12, from 5 to 7pm. Questions? Call the DCA at 410-228-7782.
