Your One-Stop Guide to Eating Well During Coronavirus
Updated May 22, 2020
During these unusual days, we’ve put together an easy-to-use guide to the Dorchester County restaurants that are offering carry-out and/or delivery, as well as local food producers serving up everything from asparagus to crabs and oysters. Note that restaurants are now legally allowed to offer alcohol for carry-out/delivery for those over 21. Don’t forget to tip! Also, consider buying a gift certificate now to help restaurants and shops with cash flow, and then treat yourself or a friend to a meal out once things are back to normal. Most fast-food chains are open for pick up and/or drive-thru service; we have not included them in this listing. Delivery service and some errands are also offered through the local business Beat the Rush Delivery.
Also, if you want to help, consider making a tax-deductible donation to Feed the Front MES (Maryland’s Eastern Shore). The campaign uses donations to have Dorchester and Talbot County restaurants prepare meals for front-line workers in the COVID-19 crisis. So your donation helps both the restaurants and the front-line workers. Find out more.
We are updating this list daily. If you have any updates to this guide, please send them to firstname.lastname@example.org. You can also join the Facebook group What’sCooking, where local restaurants are being invited to post their daily menus.
