about us
In 1912, this home was designed by and built for Wild West Sharpshooter Annie Oakley when she and her husband Frank Butler retired to Cambridge. The bungalow is typical of the period except for a few features characteristic of the Butler’s life style – notably the roof designed so she could step out onto it from the upstairs windows to shoot game off the Choptank River. The Butlers lived here for a time before returning to performing.
This house, located at 28 Bellevue Avenue in Cambridge, MD, is now a private residence. Please be respectful.
