Enjoy a day of environmental and historical celebration with the Spocott Windmill as a focus on Saturday, April 23, from 10am-5pm. Bring the family and learn about our rich historical, cultural, and environmental legacy, enjoy some good food, and meet a lot of fascinating people. The day will include:

  • Windmill running and tours
  • Demonstrations by Daniel Firehawk Abbott on Native American history and culture
  • Tours of buildings including Country Store and Museum, Castle Haven Schoolhouse, Blacksmith shop, Doctor’s Office, Adaline Wheatley House
  • Arbor Day tree giveaway
  • Horseshoe tournament
  • Exhibits and displays

Food, parking, restrooms, and a good time will be available for all. There is no charge for admission. The day’s events will take place rain or shine. Spocott Windmill and Dorchester Citizens for Planned Growth co-sponsor the event. The Spocott Windmill is located at 1663 Hudson Road (Route 343) in Cambridge, Maryland.
