While plans are still being finalized for 2017, last year Frank Nanna and the WWIIunes of Salisbury performed German festmusik and the Enzian Volkstanzgruppe of Delaware performed the traditional schuhplattler and other dances. There was a competition for “Best Dressed at the Fest,” so feel free to wear your Oktoberfest attire! The Kinder Garten featured games, crafts, and face painting for kids.
Admission costs $5 per person, with special package pricing for entry, beer, and commemorative mug. The fest happens Governor’s Hall at Sailwinds Park. For more information, visit crabtoberfest.com or contact the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce at 410-228-3575 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Crabtoberfest is an annual commemoration of the sister county partnership between Dorchester County, Maryland, and Dueren County in Germany.
